the liebster award

Thank you so much to Megan at Bespeckled With Freckles for nominating us for the Liebster award!

We had to look up this award as we are still relatively new to the blogging world and were not quite sure what it was. Upon reading about it, the German in us (our grandma was from Dortmund) was particularly excited about this award because the term Liebster means beloved in German and we just think that is so nice. Now, on to Megan's questions...

1. What is one of your guilty pleasures?
Sydney- My guilty pleasure is baking with no celebration or cause!
Megan- Sweets. All sweets but my guiltiest pleasure is cheesecake.

2. What is one thing about you that people would be surprised to know?
Sydney- People don't know that I enjoy gossip magazines even though I know most of it's not true!
Megan- I sometimes wear yoga pants and comfy sweaters to work.
 

3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Sydney- I would live in an airstream because they are very stylish and I can travel anywhere and everywhere!
Megan- England (my favorite movie is "Love Actually"). 

4. What is one luxury item you would treat yourself to if you could pick anything?

Sydney- Weekly pedicures.
Megan- Monthly facials and daily visits to the Drybar.

5. Favorite television show?

Sydney- "Glee", because breaking out in song and dance makes life better!
Megan- "How I Met Your Mother" and "Will & Grace" (I love television...seriously, LOVE).

6. If you could only pick one makeup product to use, what would it be?
Sydney- Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-Aging UV Moisturizer.
Megan- Benefit's You Rebel Light Tinted Moisturizer.
  
7. What inspired you to start blogging?

Sydney- My sister, Megan and the relationship we have...sister style. Which is explained on our "About" page here.
Megan- I thoroughly enjoy reading blogs and though this would be something enjoyable for my sister and I to do together.  

8. Celebrity crush?

Sydney- Joseph Gordon Levitt.
Megan- Zac Hanson (yep...from Hanson, my favorite band).
 

9. What is your favorite meal? (homemade or from a restaurant)
Sydney- My st patty's day meal: corned beef with potatoes, carrots and cabbage and fresh home made soda bread.
Megan- Panang curry and pad see ew with a side order of fried tofu with peanut dipping sauce...I love thai food.
 

10. What was your very first job?
Sydney- Courtesy clerk at Safeway.
Megan- Barista at Starbucks.
 

11. What is one of the biggest challenges you face when it comes to blogging?
Sydney- Time.
Megan- Syd hit the nail on the head...finding time to blog consistently.
